QR Load Forecast™. Real-time short and long-term load forecasting solutions.

The cloud version is a 24/7 Cloud supercomputing analytics service. No software installation or development required. ISO and weather data are provided. Models are calibrated and executed automatically at set time intervals.

We offer two (sub)-hourly load forecast models. Real-time intraday and day-ahead forecasts, going 5 days out, are executed every period, around the clock. Medium to long-term forecasts, going months and years out, are executed once a day.

We offer ISO regional and trading hub load forcasts. Utilities total load and consumers individual load forecast.

Flexible Connectivity Bridge allows to automatically integrate data from your SCADA and metering systems, and world ISOs and weather data services. No SQL and no coding. Analytics results are available through multiple reports, and can be exported manually in Excel, or automatically via our flexible API, into any desired format.

Our forecasting methodology is universal and applies to all power markets and operations. We continually monitor and enhance our forecasting models.

Advanced Forecast Models

State-of-the-art proprietary forecasting platform uses a hybrid architecture of deep level Artificial Intelligence and machine learning algorithms. Multiple curves and indicators can be used as inputs. These can be added and removed with a mouse click. Here are some typical examples:

  • Historic ISO load data, real-time, day-ahead, (sub)-hourly, prior to a period quotes (in some markets). Load data can be nodal, zonal, per hub or region.

  • ISO provided load forecasts if any, day / look ahead. These are used in forecasting ISO load.

  • Meter data and SCADA if available, for forecasting a utility and its clients load.

  • Multiple weather data indicators.

Input Configuration

  • Rolling forward indicators, such as previous hour, yesterday same hour, last week same day and hour, yesterday average, last week average.

  • Calendars to filter out and interpolate weekend and holiday effects.

  • Start and end date for training or calibration of the model.

  • Run-time loading of multiple published phases and data types in order to use best and all available information. For example, "Final" meter starting a year ago to last billing period, "Preliminary" meter data from a month ago to previous days, "Provisional" overnight data from 7 days ago to today, SCADA up to previous hour. There is a descending hierarchy of such phases. The system is intelligent to use the best available data for each period.

Two Forecasting Perspectives

  • Utility load forecasting based on meter and possibly SCADA data. Load forecasting can be performed on an individual meters or node, or on aggregated totals based on business rules such as, per client type, region, or the utility total load.

  • Customer hourly meter load forecasting based on monthly consumptions. We forecast a normalized hourly shape and apply that to deduce an hourly load forecast for the customer.

Calibration Backtesting

  • Detailed MAPE error analysis is provided on back testing.

  • Input curves and indicators are ranked in order of effectiveness, so that the model can be fine tune and improved.

  • Actual data and forecast are gathered in live real-time "Data Panels" with plots, tabular display and export capability to CSV.


  • Model configurations and estimated parameters are visible and auditable. Results are saved individually.

  • Multiple security access levels are defined for users.

  • Extensive import and export capabilities are offered.

  • Solution runs automatically at every market period.
