Historical price, volume and volatility data, as well as forecasted or forward projected data, both entered by the user and predicted of fitted by the system can all be viewed and retrieved in Excel or modified by authorized users. The system implements a curve hierarchy, from initial or forecast phase, to final or settled phase. The system implements full data access security, audit trail of manipulations, and max / min thresholds for data validation.

The Analytics Server provides users with the ability to define pricing points or market nodes for any market price of interest to their operations. There are no restrictions on asset class, market or price type. It is all configurable.

For example you define an asset class of commodity, with a subclass of electricity, then regional markets such as Ercot, then nodal prices, and at a given node, define energy, ancillary and reserve price and volume points to model that market.

The system loads historical and forward price, volume, and volatility data curves through various means. Automated data connectors retrieve, parse, insert and manage data from various data sources and databases. File formats can be CSV or PDF formats, or data can be live when API or web services are available, especially from ISOs or market operators and well-known data sources like Bloomberg and others.
