Real-Time Trading
QR Scheduling System offers comprehensive real-time trading and scheduling functionality for power and gas.
Flexibility
Schedule any combination of Electricity or Gas assets, across various regional markets, ISO, pipelines, etc., with different segments, constraints, and scheduled product types. For example, you can configure completely different electricity markets, each with their own distinct time frequency (¼, ½ or 1 hourly), ancillary and reserve products, rules, bidding bands, etc. These are actually loaded as different Scheduling Markets within the same integrated dashboard.
Modeling the Constraints of your Power Plant
Standing offers and Variation offers are associated with specific power plants. Each power plant must be configured, using a wizard, with its specific constraints which then are enforced as constraints on the volume of each product it can trade.

Real-time Data Integration and Business Intelligence
- Each Scheduler is connected live via automated daemons (using API or web services) to its market operator, ISO, Pool, or pipeline companies. This allows real-time downloading of market prices, volumes/loads, data, various notices and reports; as well as bids submission or nomination into their systems. Configuration is simple using XML files, to match each market operator’s requirements.
- Various reports as web pages can display a selection of these data in data panels. E.g., the Dispatch Schedule is a live real-time up to date screen with all possible price and load data displayed in a convenient interface. It can be used by the real-time traders and electricity dispatch operators of your generating units. It clearly displays all historical and forward data to aid bidding strategy, as well as showing next period dispatch with minutes to spare for the operators.
- QR Analytics Server works real-time to provide up to date Monte Carlo simulations of all market data curves (expected prices and volumes / load) for the next few periods, showing confidence intervals values as high and low values, around the expected published data by the market operator.
Integrated Real-time Trading Dashboard
A visual panel displays with different color bars across delivery time periods (next closing gate, sets of periods, days to weeks and month ahead), all bids, (scheduled, active and delivered) for all traded products. Each traded product has its own templates capturing its relevant fields, e.g., energy can trade across 10 bands, while ancillary and reserves bids can have 5 bands. The panel refreshes real-time to reflect all actual bids created, by multiple users, in the system to allow real-time market decision making, including the bids in the closed gate or the upcoming period.
